Barkitecture draws on your team’s creativity, collaboration, resourcefulness and communication skills to construct and decorate a dog house.

Program outline

For the Barkitecture team building challenge, teams will be working with a set tool kit and building materials. Each team must utilise time and resources effectively to design and build a unique dog house. Teams then participate in a series of competitions to win decorative extras like paint and patios.

Once complete, the dog houses are put on show. A dog from a local animal rescue association will be on hand to sniff out a winner! Additional prizes can be awarded for the ‘most creative dog house’ and ‘most team spirit’ etc..

Learning and development outcomes

Teams must identify the skills of each individual and apply project management techniques so that design, decoration, planning and construction are completed within a
given timeframe and with limited resources.

The dog houses your team produce can become a giveaway incentive for dog adoption agencies or, can be auctioned with the proceeds going to the animal shelter.
