πΏ Tour Overview
This 3-day cross-province cycling expedition leads you from the red-soil highlands of Buon Ma Thuot to the pine-covered mountains of Da Lat. Along the way, explore ethnic villages, rice fields, volcanic valleys, and quiet backroads winding through some of Vietnamβs most dramatic landscapes.
π Itinerary
Day 1: Buon Ma Thuot β Lak Lake β Mβnong Village
We begin the journey cycling out of Buon Ma Thuot, following smooth, quiet backroads flanked by coffee plantations, cassava fields, and scattered villages. As we ride south, the terrain flattens into open valleys dotted with grazing buffalo and distant mountain ridges.
We stop at a local coffee farm and continue on toward Lak Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in the Central Highlands. Here we explore Jun Village, home to the Mβnong people, visit a longhouse, and enjoy a late-afternoon kayaking or stroll along the lakeshore. We stay overnight in a lakeside homestay or eco-lodge, enjoying dinner with local ingredients and sunset views.
Day 2: Lak Lake β Phu Son Pass β Da Long
After breakfast, we begin a more challenging ride: leaving Lak Lake, we ascend the remote and winding Phu Son Pass, one of the most scenic and under-traveled roads in the Central Highlands. The climb rewards you with panoramic views of valleys, forests, and cloud-wrapped ridges.
We stop for a rustic picnic lunch along the pass before continuing into Lam Dong Province. The landscape transforms into pine forest and vegetable terraces as we approach Da Long or Ta Nung area, where we rest for the night in a rural homestay or farmstay nestled in the foothills.
Day 3: Da Long β Ta Nung β Da Lat
Our final day features a beautiful forested descent and rolling climbs through pine forests and highland farms. We ride along flower-growing villages, greenhouse fields, and waterfall stops (such as Pongour or Cam Ly, depending on route). The ride culminates with a gentle climb into Da Lat, arriving by afternoon at your hotel.
This final stretch offers a true sense of arrivalβcycling into the “city of eternal spring” after three rewarding days on the road.
